Donald Trump Advocates More Guns to Address Gun Violence

To say that anyone knows what Trump’s position is on gun control is ludicrous.    Trump himself doesn’t know what his position is.

Just this year he called for stricter gun control laws.

Certainly that position would be consistent with that held by the majority of Americans.  Support for tougher gun control laws is soaring in the United States.  A majority of gun owners and half of Republicans favor new laws to address gun violence.  Nationwide protests have been  held across the nation after every act of gun violence.  It seem seems that law makers would heed the public’s wishes.

Nearly 7 in 10 adults now favor stricter gun control measures. That’s the strongest level of support since The Associated Press first asked the question five years ago. The new poll also found that nearly half of Americans do not expect elected officials to take action.

Overall, 69 percent of Americans think gun laws in the United States should be made stricter. That’s up from 61 percent who said the same in October of 2016 and 55 percent when the AP first asked the question in October of 2013. Overall, 90 percent of Democrats, 54 percent of gun owners and 50 percent of Republicans now favor stricter gun control laws.

Sixty percent believe that making it harder to legally obtain a gun would result in fewer mass shootings; just 49 percent said the same in the 2016 poll.

Eleven people were killed and six injured in Saturday morning’s shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania man Robert Bowers, 46, of suburban Baldwin, faces 29 charges in connection to the rampage.  Trump’s solution to this horrific act is to kill more people.  He explained that the nation should strengthen its laws surrounding the death penalty.

Asked if he was advocating for armed guards inside of places of worship, Trump explained that it’s certainly an option.

They have to pay the ultimate price,” Trump said. “They can’t do this.”

Clearly Donald Trump says whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear at the time when it comes to gun control.  He is a man without principle and lacks any moral compus.  He is a vile excuse for a human being.

  1. A day does not go by without a disgusting example of what a liar and cheat Donald john drumpf is.
He does not allow guns and assault weapons in his radical republiCON rallies but he believes guns should be in churches, schools, courts, theaters, stores, hospitals and sport events.
Yes don the con is one gross pathetic example. Its Mueller time and the VOTE for America.

  2. Sad to say that my son-in-law (great guy) truly believes that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. “If only I had a license to carry.” My hubby: “yeah, it worked SO well in the Wild West where you were lucky if you saw 40 years old.” Waving at ya, Malia…..
