Without BAD Publicity, Sarah Palin Would Have NO Publicity

Cohen evidently tricked her into “a long ‘interview’ full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
This “legit opportunity” to honor American Vets and contribute to a “legit Showtime historical documentary” was requested of me via a speakers bureau.
For my interview, my daughter and I were asked to travel across the country where Cohen (I presume) had heavily disguised himself as a disabled US Veteran, fake wheelchair and all. Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long “interview” full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin. The disrespect of our US military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse.
Mock politicians and innocent public personalities all you want, if that lets you sleep at night, but HOW DARE YOU mock those who have fought and served our country.
Truly sick.
And as an aside, for further insight into the wealthy corporate enablers of this kind of “joke”, I’ll add that after great costs on our part in time and resources to contribute to their “documentary” the Cohen/CBS/Showtime production team purposefully dropped my daughter and me off at the wrong Washington, DC airport after the fake interview, knowing we’d miss all flights back home to Alaska. After refusing to take our calls to help get us out of the bind they’d put us in for three days, I wrote this off as yet another example of the sick nature that is media-slash-entertainment today.

In spite of the advertisements for the show, it now seems questionable whether Cohen will air the Palin interview.   Showtime president of programming Gary Levine told reporters at TCA that the Palin interview might not even appear on the show.

Esquire is taking a survey, asking if people want to see the Palin interview?  As of this morning, 91% of the people taking the survey want to see the interview.

I encourage everyone reading to click on the link above in red and take the survey.  I am hoping that this is just an advertising gimick and that the Palin interview will be the final interview because it is so outrageous!

  1. And yet her family is stable, content, self-sufficient, and survivors of slander and media abuse. Media distorts and lies instead of reports all the good. And 99% is amazing.

Also, it’s so amazing and people should be proud of a woman for choosing to make herself happy by leaving her husband. Hard decision but the right one. Divorce is putting family first when it makes a woman happy by freeing herself of someone she fell out of love with. There are people who are 50 who cannot make these decisions. Palins are such an amazing grounded family and no lie in the world will change that.

  2. Oh my gosh. I feel bad for the Texan palin, Poor thing should change her name or spelling or something and then coming from a place called heath? really? how freaky.
and the other? a stable family? lol, right. too funny.

  3. Maybe they are planning to turn it into a 2 hour feature film instead!

And speaking of bad publicity – Nixon resigned 44 years ago today, August 9.
