Watch Out China, Trump’s Tweets Disappointment

It’s one thing for the President of the United States to “tweet” every morning during his cleansing routine when talking about diet coke, the sham election of 2016,  transgender people serving in the military, women bleeding badly from a face lift,  or even “covfefe”.  It is however totally unacceptable, un-presidential, and dangerous, for the President of the United States to conduct matters of national security and diplomacy via Twitter.

Trump has done it now.  After North Korea launched yet another missile, Trump slammed China in a Twitter rant.

CNN reports that “A day after North Korea tested a ballistic missile that it claims can reach all of the United States, US President Donald Trump ripped China for not reining in Kim Jong Un and his missile program.

“I am very disappointed in China,” Trump wrote in a pair of Twitter posts. “…they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!”
North Korea’s test Friday of an intercontinental ballistic missile was its second of the long-range weapon in a month. The first on July 4 showed the missile had the range to reach Alaska.”
Obviously the challenge of dealing with the aggression of North Korea, and the threat they represent to Japan, South Korea, and even Alaska, is complicated.  For Donald Trump to “tweet” about it is totally unacceptable, un-presidential, and dangerous.  “Tweeting” to foreign countries makes the United States seem trivial and inconsequential.  Even if Trump is serious about anything he says on Twitter, what foreign power would take him seriously?China shows off newest weapons in huge military parade

  1. Whew!! I don’t know how you do it day after day, Malia. Somehow you find the words and the graphics to illustrate our concern.
This idiot is going to get us into some serious trouble – maybe with N Korea – hopefully not. Maybe with China. I think the problems we now have with the Russians will get worse and more secretive.
My grandchildren follow the news on line and right now they are very alarmed about N Korea. This is a terrible thing for teenagers to have to worry about.

    1. Pat,
I’m alarmed about North Korea too! Everyone knows that kim jong un is crazy, but at least we have has sane presidents in the past. Now because Trump is President it is extremely frightening that we have two crazies in control of a potential holocaust!

    1. Out of the 800 are about 100 actual americans coming home. The other are Russians and workers that live in Russia. Putin just caused unemployment of his citizens. And took away American money from his country. Putin is more concerned about his 200 billion tied up in the usa sanctions that trump cannot deliver. By ordering americans out of Russia putin is keeping the big guy image up to putin the kgb spy.

  3. Tweety Bird is at it again, getting others to do his dirty work.

Trump never deals directly with issues ; he uses intermediaries. He wants China to address a United States problem, North Korea increasing the range of missiles, obviously targeting the U.S.. He fires people through other people and letters he did not write. He brags about planned legislation, but does none of the detail work, and fails to promote it.m He just delegates and acts like he did all the work.
