A new lawsuit has been filed against Donald Trump for violation of a citizen’s First Amendment rights, as a result of Trump blocking people from expressing their responses to his tweets. The problem may be that President Trump has a twitter account that is identified as the “realDonald Trump” and describes himself as “the 45th President of the United States.” Thus this twitter account doesn’t purport to be the private account of Trump, but instead a site to raise awareness of all things Presidential.
In previous times people proclaimed their opposition to the President by marching in public squares holding banners.
Today protesters express themselves where they find higher visibility. It seems only fair that if the President is allowed to express his views via social media, then his opponents should have the right to respond in kind.
