The Whole World is Watching Mentally Ill Leaders, Trump and Kim Jong-un, Threaten Nuclear War

Tension between the United States and North Korea have never been higher.

Asked if he thought Kim was mentally fit, Trump replied: “I don’t know. I don’t know him.”

Most of us comfort ourselves when we contemplate the possibility of nuclear war by telling ourselves that no leader of any country in the world would be so unstable as to initiate a nuclear war.  The problem is that both Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un are unstable.
The evidence is inescapable.  Psychologist John Gartner, who spent 20 years at Johns Hopkins started an online petition asking other colleagues to demand Trump’s removal from office due to his mental instability.  Gartner has received more than 25,000 signatures. Whether or not any, all or most of the signatories are indeed mental health professionals has not been confirmed. The text of the petition, posted at, is brief:
We, the undersigned mental health professionals (please state your degree), believe in our professional judgment that Donald Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President of the United States. And we respectfully request he be removed from office, according to article 3 of the 25th amendment to the Constitution, which states that the president will be replaced if he is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
Gartner isn’t the only mental health professional to address these concerns.  The New York Times published a letter signed by 35 professionals indicating that there was “too much is at stake to be silent any longer.”

Trump has been identified as having classic signs of mental illness, including “malignant narcissism.”  In January after his inauguration, two interviews revealed the paranoia and delusional thinking that has come to define Trump.  He quadruple-downed on his fabrication that millions of people voted illegally.  His petulant trade war with Mexico reveals that he values self-image even over national interest.  His fixation with inaugural crowd size reveals a childish need for attention.

 “Narcissism impairs his ability to see reality,” said Dr. Julie Futrell, a clinical psychologist. “So you can’t use logic to persuade someone like that.”  Charles M. Blow (column,, Feb. 9) describes Donald Trump’s constant need “to grind the opposition underfoot.”

Mr. Trump’s speech and actions demonstrate an inability to tolerate views different from his own, leading to rage reactions. His words and behavior suggest a profound inability to empathize. Individuals with these traits distort reality to suit their psychological state, attacking facts and those who convey them (journalists, scientists).

In a powerful leader, these attacks are likely to increase, as his personal myth of greatness appears to be confirmed. We believe that the grave emotional instability indicated by Mr. Trump’s speech and actions makes him incapable of serving safely as president.

The atrocities faced by citizens of North Korea are evidence of the supreme leaders mental illness.  He is both paranoid and a complete sociopath.  In North Korea:
1.You have no internet connection unless you are a rich elite or a government official.
2. If you want to own a laptop or a desktop or a television , u have to have special permission from the government.
3. If you are caught watching south Korean movies or romantic movies , then you are sentenced to minimum 5 years of Labour camps.
4. You do not have proper supply of water , food and electricity unless you live in the capital city of Pyongyang , in which only elite group of people can live that too with special permissions.
5.If you try to oppose North Korean government or Kim Jong Un, u are almost dead.
6. If you try to escape north Korea and you are caught, then you are sentenced to death.  If you survive you are sent to concentration camps and whole of your family is brutally punished . Nearly 3 generations of your family have to live in the concentration camps. The food given is just “few grains of rice” so eating a rat would be like a feast.  However if you are caught eating rats , you and your family is savagely beaten up and even the ladies and girls of your family are sexually molested and raped.

Recent violence of Kim Jong-un was the public executiion of his half-brother Kim Jong-nam was further evidence of his sociopathic personality.   KimJong-un had two women rub a highly toxic nerve agent into his brother’s face.

North Korea’s supreme leader has also ordered the termination of scores of government officials for committing such damaging state crimes as dining illegally, insufficient funeral grieving, and detrimental “alternative dreaming.”  The penalty for this nonsensicle crimes were described as “a litany of gruesome executions carried out by anti-aircraft guns, mortars, and flamethrowers.”

North Korea under the rule of Kim Jong-un is like a horror film, too vile to be believed.  The country is home to slave-labor camps that imprison more than 200,000 North Koreans, one third of whom are believed to be children.  Prisoners are starved, tortured, and raped.  Moreover, no prisoners are ever released from the death camp system, which often hold up to three generations of North Koreans, many of whom have been born into permanent captivity.

South Korea’s president seems to agree that Kim Jong Un’s “mental state” is “uncontrollable.”

Since 2006, North Korea has conducted six atomic tests, the last of which in 2016 had an explosive force two times the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.  Its nuclear arsenal is now believed to contain 20 similar nuclear bombs, along with enough highly enriched uranium and plutonium to make dozens more.  North Korea is believed to have produced a small compact nuclear bomb capable of fitting into the nose cones of its ballistic missiles, which is particularly worrisome, given that the rogue state can reportedly already target South Korea and Japan with its medium-range ballistic missiles.

The Trump administration, which has announced that all options remain on the table, may be considering a more dramatic choice, which is to just simply get rid of Kim Jong-un permanently.

Speculation on this front arose during the recent joint military exercises held between the U.S. and South Korea.  According to South Korean news reports, participants in the air, land, and sea drills included Navy SEAL Team 6, these a first-time addition whose inclusion was reported to “simulate a ‘decapitation attack’ on North Korea’s leadership.”

The North Korean state media has warned of a nuclear attack on the United States at any sign of aggression as a US aircraft strike group steams towards the Korean peninsula in a show of force.

President Donald Trump described the carrier group, as an “armada”.

Trump sounds like he’s writing a script for a SNL episode about himelf, only its real, and its frightening.

“We are sending an armada. Very powerful.” “We have submarines. Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. That I can tell you.”

North Korea said it was prepared to respond to any U.S. aggression.

Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theater but also in the U.S. mainland.”

In a typical Trump fashion, he resorted to Tweeting about all things Presidential, including potential nuclear war with North Korea.  Trump said:

“If China decides to help, that would be great,” he tweeted. “If not, we will solve the problem without them!”

“We are really worried about what Washington has in mind for North Korea after it hinted at the possibility of a unilateral military scenario,” the ministry said in a statement.

The whole world is watching as the mentally unstable leaders of America and North Korea threaten nuclear war.  Donald Trump has been President of the United States almost three months.  Kim Jong-un has been the supreme leader of North Korea for six years. It’s dangerous to have a mentally unstable person in control of a country.  It’s a global disaster when two mentally unstable people control nuclear arsenals.

  1. there’s a good documentary called State Of Mind, about the annual artistic spectacle held in Pyongyang. Suggested viewing.

    On another note, Jong Un and J. Trump need some energetic/physical release of all that pent-up energy, akin to the basics they encourage in kindergarten.

  2. It’s been there all this time, and mental health researchers missed it. Mental illness causes jacked up hair. Those goofy hair styles are there to warn us.

  3. As a retired nurse who often thinks that way too many people have been mislabeled with mental health disorder labels; I totally agree with this author about both of these men. Megalomaniac is an understatement; and the people who support either of them believing that they are effective leaders who care about their people are even more delusional.
    The saddest thing is that there are no effective meds, interventions or behavior modifications therapies for any of them; thus, they will continue to live in their own la la states of mind.

    1. klee88029,
      It seems too many health care professionals are afraid to speak up and say what we know. He is the President,s o we can’t stand on formality if he is in charge of the nuclear codes.

      1. Unfortunately, if the entire communities of Psychiatry and Psychology Behavior Health professionals spoke up with their SOAP assessments of Trump; concluding that he does suffer from some type of organic and/or cognitive disorder making him unfit to be the President; I doubt that the legislative and judicial “actors” he has surrounded himself with, would do a damm thing about it for they are as self-serving as he and his off-spring appear to be.

  4. Personally, as a fairly educated human being;
    (Not as a retired health care professional; I am a FULLY retired EMT-B and LPN who no longer renews any licenses; I have no desire to serve in those roles any more, 40 years was enough!);

    IF I were “guessing” at what Trump suffers from: I would say this:
    Oppositional Defiance Disorder since youth which developed into full blown
    Narcissistic (with a touch of Borderline traits thrown in) Personality Disorder throughout his entire adult life;
    And now, in the past 2 years of watching him closely;
    advancing Alzheimer’s Dementia.

    But, as said, I am just “guessing”, not diagnosing; which would be a challenge for even a
    Top practicing Psychiatrist to diagnose, as that would involve “the patient’s consent” to multiple direct examinations; if the patient has not been ‘Court Ordered’ for psych evals;
    per evidence-based Behaviors of potential and/or real Acts of Harm to Him/Her-Self or others.
    So, don’t hold your breath on this happening; nobody close to him has the courage to ask for such.

    And I can guarantee that HE ‘ain’t gonna’ request these on his Royal, Emperor with no clothes Self!!
