It was just two days ago that we were focused on the unethical advertising of Ivanka Trump’s clothing line by Kellyanne Conway during a press conference.
The controversy resulted after the announcement that Nordstrom was discontinuing the Trump line. Nordstrom’s sales of Ivanka Trump’s line of clothing and shoes fell by nearly one-third over the past fiscal year, with sharp drops in sales weeks before Donald Trump was elected president. Internal Nordstrom data indicated that sales of Ivanks’s products at Nordstrom were more than 70% lower in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th week of October compared to the same weeks during 2015. Trump took to Twitter to declare that Nordstrom has treated his daughter “unfairly.”
It seems Nordstrom’s isn’t the only one that is treating Ivanka “unfairly.” Burlington Coat Factory, Neiman Marcus, and Gilt no longer sells products from Ivanka Trump’s brand online.
Perhaps Ivanka should design her clothes to appeal to Grammy Award audiences?
