“My Plan also calls for repealing and replacing Obamacare.” “It’s a disaster” Donald Trump declared during his campaign.
Now that Trump has won the election, his previous rant about the Affordable Health Care Act seems to have been forgotten. More than 20 Million Americans who previously had not been insured, now have health insurance. Trump has now said he’s in favor of “keeping a core part of the law.”Repeal and replace seems unlikely as the Republicans haven’t agreed on a replacement, even though the Affordable Health Care Act became law almost seven years ago. Moreover the GOP has failed to offer ANY alternative plan to replace the Affordable Health Care Act. During the campaign, Trump didn’t concern himself with such mundane things as a better plan. Now that he is about to become our President, he seems to be concerned that there is no alternative to replace coverage for so many Americans. Perhaps his idea of “Making America Great Again” was to rid the country of all sick people by letting them die from lack of health care.
