The Dallas Morning News Features a Story on My Quest for Secret Service Documents

secret service badge

This is the story out on line.  I understand that the story will appear in the Sunday edition of the paper.  Maybe somebody in the National News will pick it up.  If anyone sees it in another national publication please let me know.  After four years of being ignored, coerced and dismissed, the truth is now inescapable.  The Secret Service is corrupt.  The Secret Service tried to cover-up its corruption.  The Secret Service tried its best to coerce me into giving up.

Justice has prevailed.  I greatly appreciate Dave Lieber and Marina Martinez of the Dallas Morning News for bringing public attention to this flagrant example of corruption, cover-up, and coercion.  The suit isn’t over yet, as the OIG is still a party, and they are still producing documents.  You’ll be the first to know if I make any further progress.

  1. Malia, this is the “Nightmare Scenario” that Secret Service and DHS have prevented from coming out for years – the USSS ‘Culture of Corruption’ they have so effectively covered-up. It all started in 1994 with the U.S. Secret Service Financial Crimes Division Regional Supervisor Paul Rakowski hatching and launching criminal enterprise Beckett Brown International (BBI) from INSIDE Secret Service FCD Headquarters. The infamous Koch Brothers hired BBI to spy on their own brother Bill Koch. That operation was just exposed earlier this year in “Dark Money” by Jane Mayer. There have been a slew of other illegal and heinous BBI spyops against companies, organizations and individuals. The late John Wilke of the ‘Wall Street Journal’ called BBI the biggest corporate espionage scandal in American history, but died before he could get his shocking expose’ published. Secret settlements, with absolutely zero press, are being made in the few lawsuits filed thus far against former BBI personnel and their crooked clients, but more lawsuits are on the way…

Thanks for your support! I’ll be excited if somebody in the national press picks up the story,…but this is a start!

It really isn’t about political ideology, it’s about our corrupt government. If we the people don’t speakout, nothing will change!

I don’t feel like a hero yet! If this goes national and the agents at the Secret Service are held accountable, then I’ll feel like I accomplished my goal.

So glad this is happening, Malia.

Thanks foryour help! The bigger story that is yet to come out is the cover-up and coercion that the USSS engaged in! They just flat out lied to me to suggest that there was an “ongoing enforcement proceeding” to entice me to give up my requests! Outrageous that nothing is done…they suffer NO consequences.

  3. Malia, be positive. You have done all of the detail work that our lazy media people seem to detest. You have provided a ton of data that any decent reporter can turn into a major story. The sheer length of time and all of the FOIA violations should get this on the national stage.

It’s easy to do a story from the thousands of pages that I’ve summarized. the bigger story and the one that is harder to report is the level of cover-up, and coercion that the Secret Service has engagedin regarding these documents. There are still THOUSANDS that have been withheld in full! Imagine how bad those are!

  4. Malia you and Shailey Tripp are true heros. Without Tripp’s book and her tenacity of reminding everyone there was really a bigger story that she couldn’t talk about without proof. I am glad you never gave up on her. Maybe you will get an interview and you can tell people how you interviewed Tripp and about her book leading you to the FOIA fiasco. And look at that you never gave up and you’ve been able to secure documents. Tripp would have never been able to do this on her own without the resources and funding to get it done. You bot only did that but got this nationally acknowledged. I hope the two of you can meet someday and that this goes global for both of you. Also the take down of Fox News and Roger Allies could not have been a coincidence.

  5. Atta girl, Malia! You strike me as the type that would try to deflect flattery, but you really are a patriot, so deal with it 😉 We’re all very proud of you.

O/T – I was surprised to learn that you live in Dallas. For some reason I had it in my head that you lived in Austin.

The story isonly being half told. The story that still needs to be told is the level ofcorruption associated with withholding this information.

    1. qltxnh,
Thanks for sending the link! I’m glad people are paying attention, and I’m trying to sign in to join the conversation. For anyone reading, the reason the article is titled as it is was the choice of the journalist who wrote it. I don’t apologize for my description of myself as a stay-at-home mom. It is a title of which I am proud. Part of the reason I describe myself that way is that people need to understand that “stay at home moms” are often there by choice and we may have done things before “being just a mom” and we may do a lot after “being just a mom.” Everyone needs to respect the mothers in our country who dedicate their lives to raising the next generation…if that is their choice. I hope everyone doesn’t respect me more because I was a Senior Partner at a big firm. I hope people realize that many mothers are smart enough, capable enough, and educated enough to do more professionally. In that case our choice to stay at home is even more powerful than if we didn’t have that choice. When I quit my job to dedicate myself to raising my children, I didn’t do it because I thought it would earn me national recognition or fame. When I pursued the FOIA requests to uncover the corruption, cover-up, and coercive attitudes of the Secret Service, I didn’t do it for fame or fortune either. Both were the right thing to do, and I felt compelled to do this, regardless of the approval of anyone else.

  11. Congrats !!!! Have you contacted Russ Baker at WhoWhatWhy.com? He is one of the best government investigators. I think he would be interested in this story and all your hard work. His book, Family of Secrets, is one of the best books written about the Bush family. If nothing else, read the book. Good luck and thanks for your hard work.

  15. Robert, I have been told that retired Secret Service agents are in great numbers all throughout the federal government and a major reason why the ‘Culture of Corruption’ at USSS has escaped major exposure up until now. Crooked former U.S. Secret Service agents have certainly continued to commit tons of racketeering and corporate espionage crimes for Beckett Brown International (BBI) successor companies…
