Did the Orlando Attack Make It More or Less Likely that Trump Will Be the GOP Nominee?

It was early December of 2015 that Trump called for a complete shut down of Muslims entering the United States.

Now that a Muslim has been responsible for the deadliest attack on US soil since 9-11,some might think that Trump is correct.  The only problem is that the person who perpetrated this terrorist attack was an American…not an immigrantl

Trump has used the mass shooting as an example of the reason he hates Muslims.  He fails to differentiate   peaceful Muslims who have worked to defend our country,  from radical terrorists.  He misstated information about the terrorist attack.  Trump boldly stated (3:38) that the shooter was born in ‘Afghan.

The shooter was in fact an American citizen, born in New York.  His ex-wife described him as violent, mentally unstable and beat her repeatedly when they were married.  The Washington Post.

“He was not a stable person,” the ex-wife said, according to the Post. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”

The truth is that a person like Donald Trump would be the type of person ISIS wishes would be President.  He could be quoted to explain why America should be eliminated.

The terrorist attack is a perfect example of the reasons Trump should never be the leader  of this country.  He lies to perpetuate racism.  We have enough bigotry and racism in America with out a leader who lies about the facts to perpetuate racism.

Mitt Romney spoke clearly and emphatically about the “trickle down hate” that has repeatedly been promoted by Donald Trump.  He is one of the leaders in the GOP who is willing to boldly call out Trump.

Romney has said he would accept the nomination at a contested convention.

There are compelling reasons to believe that the powerbrokers in the GOP would support Romney.

Romney might run just to sabotage Trump.

Political Science Professor Steffen Schmidt, says “Yes, it is absolutely possible that Mitt Romney could be the Republican nominee.” “I don’t know how likely it is, but it’s possible.”

The desire for a third-party candidate are “astronomically high.”

Karl Rove has done all he can to prevent Trump from getting the nomination.

Some have even considered a rule change to prevent Trump for getting the Party’s nomination.

  1. Donald Trump is so vile. His first response to this massacre was to say “Thank you for congratulating me on being right”. What the hell was he right about? His proposed illegal ban on Muslims entering the country would have been absolutely worthless here. It would not surprise me in the least if he starts advocating for the indefinite internment of American born Muslims “until we can figure out what’s going on”

It’s no accident this monster chose a gay bar for his massacre. This is a hate crime just as much as it is a terrorist act. Trump and most of his fellow republicans have not offered the slightest bit of condolences to the LGBT community. I promise you, if this had not been a Muslim who pledged allegiance to ISIS, the republicans would’ve stopped talking about this on Sunday.

    It’s infuriating!

On a completely unrelated note, Malia. Your blog has become my go to place for information on Palin and other related information. I’m discouraged by other blogs, who shall be nameless, but have been very insulting to their fellow liberals. I appreciate you for your maturity and the unimaginable work and personal expense you put in to exposing the corrupt Palin family. Please keep up the good work!

    1. Tim Mohr,
Thanks so much for your support. I just finished three days of work of summarizing ONE notebook of OIG documents. The level of corruption is astonishing!

    2. “This is a hate crime just as much as it is a terrorist act.” — But for different reasons. It’s a hate crime because the shooter was full of self-loathing because he was himself gay and could not come to terms with it. It’s a terrorist act for no other reason than it is what it is.

“It’s no accident this monster chose a gay bar for his massacre.” — That is true too although all the reasons may not be clear at this point. It is now known that he frequented gay bars and tried to pick up other men while there though we don’t know how much success he had. He was also active on gay hookup apps and let it be known to a fellow male student while at police academy that he would be willing to hook up with him.

I strongly believe that in the end it is all going to point back at his father who appears to be a strict adherent of Islam. The shooter had severe emotional issues related to his father’s beliefs which would cause his father to reject him had his secret gay side become known, and very possibly he was rejected by the majority of the gay community that he tried to be a part of in his own way.

One thing authorities perhaps should look into would be unsolved homicides of gay men in Florida. There may well be a connection to the shooter who was capable of committing such a crime in retaliation because the victim would be blamed after the fact for causing the shooter to commit a homosexual act.

  2. Malia – Until this imbecile learns to STFU, he will continue on this horrible rant. He is out of control and until his handlers get control of him, he is going to continue. I fear his hate filled speeches will only bring more crazies out of the woodwork the closer we get the conventions in July. It should scare the hell out of everyone that this short fingered fat ass could quite possibly be the next POTUS.

  3. Terrorism in America is far more likely to be committed by a person identifying as Christian. BAN CHRISTIANS FROM AMERICA!!
The chance of a terrorist being white is 4 times greater than being Muslim. BAN CAUCASIANS FROM AMERICA!
The chances of a terrorist in America being male are astronomically higher than the chance of it being a female. BAN ALL MALES FROM AMERICA!!

  4. here is a start on your list of “radical christian terrorist” sympathizers. unfortunately, he was not the only one.

SACRAMENTO — A Sacramento Baptist preacher’s sermon praising the attack on an Orlando nightclub that left 50 people dead has the local LGBT community outraged, reports CBS Sacramento.

Recordings of the sermon by Pastor Roger Jimenez surfaced on the Verity Baptist Church’s YouTube account.

“Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?” he said in the sermon. “Um — no — I think that’s great! I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida is a little safer tonight.”

The remarks were delivered on Sunday morning, hours after the attack.

“We don’t need to do anything to help. As far as I’m concerned, Orlando is a little bit safer tonight,” he said.
