It seems the rule in the Republican Party is that family is “off limits” only when they say it is. How many times did we hear a comment about Michelle Obama’s statement about when she became proud of our country?  Yet virtually every time we saw Sarah Palin or John McCain we saw their spouses standing quietly behind them.

Sarah Palin used her children when helpful to her, but if they did something, like being an unwed teenage mother, she and her child capitalized on it. So criticizing a spouse may be viewed by some as “off limits.” However when lying is involved, everyone is fair game; especially if the reason the member of the family is telling a lie is to promote the politician running for office. If Anita Perry gives an interview and disparages our President by lying, we care! Here is the story. As John King explained Anita Perry said it was the Obama administration that caused her son to lose his job. Her son actually explained he quit. The video CNN relied upon to prove that Anita Perry lied, was one of her son documenting the reason he quit his job.  However the more compelling video was a speech given by Mrs. Perry the day before when she told the story of how she and Rick told their children that Rick was going to run for President. In that presentation Anita Perry recounts her son telling her that he would gladly quit his job to help his dad! Thus Anita Perry has admitted that she knew her son would be quitting his job to help his dad. . This lie was not only an untruth, but it was an intentional lie. Mrs. Perry was so anxious to disparage President Obama that she was willing to tell a lie. Moreover, there was no attempt by Rick or Anita to retract the statement or clarify the record.

It seems that lying is a trait that Rick and Anita have in common.

1. Perry lied about education funding.

2. Perry lied when he declared that if elected Governor he would NOT run for the office of the Presidency.

3. Perry lied about meeting a woman dying of cervical cancer.

4. Perry has repeatedly lied about the number of jobs he has created.

5. Perry has lied about protecting the rights or property owners.

6. Perry lied about the EPA never complaining about the pollution in Texas.

7. Perry lied about supporting a banker bailout.

8. Perry lied about supporting in-state tuition for illegal immigrants

9. Perry lied about border violence in El Paso.

10. Perry lied when he said the federal stimulus didn’t create any jobs.

Thus it is clear that lying is a way of life for Rick and Anita Perry. It is particularly bothersome because Rick and Anita Perry promote themselves as religious people. Anita has complained that Rick has been “brutalized” by the media, and that he is working to “save this country’s soul”. When they can’t save their own souls, they surely can’t save ours’. If Rick or Anita saw a burning bush, it wasn’t a sign from God; it was an indication that Perry shouldn’t have cut the volunteer fire department budget in the year Texas was suffering from a record drought.

“H” provided this link tonight which is an article about the lengths the Texas agencies will go to hide the facts that document the effects of global warming in Texas.  It should come as no surprise that it is an agency that ultimately reports to Governor Perry that is trying to hide the truth.  Thanks “H” for the link!

It appears that Rick Perry adheres to the philosophy that he can tell a lie, and nobody will notice.  How stupid does he think we are?   Recognizing that education is critically important to the future of the country, he has told a bold faced lie about education in Texas. The Governor’s web site, under the tab “the Governor” says:

“On the education front, Governor Perry has worked to improve the quality of Texas schools from top to bottom by increasing accountability, raising expectations and funding programs that work. In addition to introducing the largest teacher incentive pay program in the country, Governor Perry has overseen a 43 percent increase in total spending on public education in Texas. He also signed a school finance reform package that provided a 33 percent school property tax reduction, a $2,000 pay raise for teachers, record funding for classrooms and a reformed business tax.”  Based on the self promotion, I would love to be a teacher in Texas and send my kids to public schools in Texas.  Unfortunately for the teachers and students in Texas, Rick Perry lies.

Reality is far from the declaration of the Governor of Texas.

1. Perry’s education “standards” are exemplified by $4 billion in budget cuts to education for the upcoming budget cycle.

2. Because of the budget cuts by Perry’s administration schools in Texas will have to lay off an estimated 49,000 teachers.

3. Due to budget cuts by the Perry administration in the education budget Texas is estimated to have at least 43,000 college students without financial aid. Indeed, scholarships for 29,000 low-income college students will be completely eliminated. What’s more, Perry’s axe to the education budget has forced local school districts to impose fees on school programs and services for students and families, universities to find outside money to continue high-level research, and some universities to consider imposing higher tuition or fees on students

Here are the facts which statistically demonstrate just how bad the schools are in Texas.

(50th=Lowest, 1st=Highest)

• Public School Enrollment – 2nd ( very high)

• Average Salary of Public School Teachers (2009-2010) – 31st (low)

• Percent Change in Average Salaries of Public School Teachers, 1999-2000 to 2009-2010 – 38th (low)

• Current Expenditures per Student – 38th (low)

• Percentage of Revenue for K-12 Schools from Local Governments, 2009-2010 – 24th (average)

• Percentage of Revenue for K-12 Schools from Federal Government, 2009-2010 – 3rd (very high)

• State & Local Expenditures per Pupil in Public Schools – 44th(very low)

• Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) Scores – 45th (very low)

• Percent of Population 25 and Older with a High School Diploma – 50th (worst in the country)

• High School Graduation Rate – 43rd (very low)

• Percent of Adults with at Least a Bachelor’s Degree – 31st

• Percentage of Higher Education Enrollment – 9th

If Rick Perry had the audacity to lie about something so well known and obvious in Texas, consider what he might lie about on a national scale.

“Innuendo” is an indirect or subtle reference to something. Someone who is relying on innuendo is suggesting something by insinuation.Todd, Sarah Palin, and their attorneys have adopted “innuendo” as their mantra. Unfortunately the word “innuendo” has become the victim of misuse and abuse. Whenever the Palin family or their lawyers (which includes the APD) seek to deny a direct attack by a named source, the suggestion is that there is no direct statement, but only “innuendo” that something unfavorable to the image of the Palins actually happened. For example, when Shailey Tripp said that Shailey Tripp had sex with Todd, the Anchorage Police said it was “just guilt by innuendo.” The quote from January of this year was:

“It was just guilt by innuendo, nothing else,” Lt. Dave Parker told the Daily News on Wednesday. “There’s not one scintilla of evidence that Todd Palin had anything to do with this.”

The only “scintilla of evidence” was the statement given by the sexual partner of Todd Palin, while taking a lie detector test, that she had sex with Todd. The only “innuendo” involved was the statement by Sarah, not Todd, when she insinuated that Todd had not had sex with Shailey Tripp. When Sarah said, just ask Todd, “hey Todd, you been hanging out with hookers lately, he’lll tell you the truth.”  The “innuendo” was that Todd had not had a sexual relationship with Shailey Tripp, but of course we know he did.

Back in November of 2009, when Going Rogue hit the shelves, the LA Times commented on a passage that was “unusual for a political memoir.” They reported:

“Amid rumors that Palin and her husband Todd, known as Alaska’s “First Dude,” were getting a divorce, the governor recounts this moment in her odyssey. If it reads like a Harlequin novel, viewer discretion advised.

“That day in sunny Texas when the divorce rumors were rampant in the tabloids, I watched Todd, tanned and shirtless, take the baby from my arms and walk him back to the ranch house so Trig could nap while I made calls,” she writes in “Going Rogue,” the much-publicized memoir out Tuesday. “Seeing Todd’s blue eyes smiling, I chuckled. ‘Dang,’ I thought. ‘Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd?’”

Thus Sarah Palin created the image of a happy marriage by “innuendo”. She suggested that if she found Todd to be sexually attractive, then the couple had a happy marriage. However now we know from Joe McGinnis’s book, that marriage is not a prerequisite to a sexual encounter with Sarah Palin, especially if the man is an athlete with great hands!

The National Enquirer reports this morning that Sarah and Todd Palin are, once again, headed for a divorce.

Whether Todd and Sarah actually divorce is inconsequential. The relevant story is that Sarah Palin has intentionally misled the American electorate about the importance of family. When Vanity Fair reported that “there wasn’t much parenting” going on in the Palin household, we were sympathetic to this kids, but hoped it wasn’t true. When Vanity Fair reported a year later that the Palin refrigerator carried dents substantiating the claims of battle done between Todd and Sarah with cans of food, we laughed and thought it might be true. Now that McGinnis’ book has been released and he has further documentation of pre-marital and post-marital affairs of Sarah and Todd Palin, we realized that the history of marital problems for the Palins was likely accurate.

Now that  the National Enquirer is reporting that the marriage is over,  it seems that this was a “marriage by innuendo.” It is always tragic when divorce is the best option for a marriage. It is even more tragic when politicians deceive the electorate regarding their values. The offense to the public is not the fact of a divorce, but the deception of a happy marriage.

If the Palins ever had a happy marriage and a tight-knit family it was long before Sarah Palin became a celebrity. To portray herself as a dedicated mother and wife is clearly not true. To suggest that abstinence education is effective is insulting to our intelligence. Let’s hope that any political future of Sarah Palin is the result of “innuendo” and “nothing else.”

Palin has promised to announce her decision on the Bob and Mark show.  There was a flurry of excitement generated by this station, suggesting that Palin was going to make her announcement yesterday.  It was all revealed to be a tease.  Palin has made no announcement, and now we know that the Bob and Mark show is no more reliable than Palin herself.

Reading my e-mails today, I realized that some poor shmuck thought it would be appropriate to send me an e-mail to encourage the Republicans to “grow a spine” and take on President Obama. The e-mail came from “GOPUSA” and I wanted everyone to understand what is being promoted, and by whom. Here is the unaltered e-mail:

“Barack Obama has gone too far. He’s exceeded his constitution authority one too many times. And the only questions that now remain are: What is Congress going to do about it?… and just as important: What are you going to do about it?

Of course, we’re not the only ones saying that Obama’s Backdoor Amnesty Decree is way out of bounds. David B. Rivkin Jr. and Lee A. Casey, two former Justice Department officials in the Reagan and Bush administrations, tell us that”there is little question that the line has been crossed.”

In an editorial published by the liberal Washington Post, Rivkin and Casey go on to say: “Only Congress has constitutional authority to establish U.S. immigration policy, and fundamental reform requires legislative action. Thus the administrations recent announcement that deportation will be sought only for undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes in the United States violates the separation of powers and is unconstitutional.”

But Rivkin and Casey were not done: “As the Supreme Court stated in the 1838 case Kendall v. United States, the power to dispense with laws enacted by Congress ‘has no countenance for its support in any part of the constitution.'”

And there you have it. We could say that Barack Obama has declared himself King, but Rivkin and Casey have something to say on that score as well. They point out that King James II of Britain “was deposed in no small part because he claimed the right to generally suspend laws enacted by Parliament and to dispense with law in individual cases.”

We’re not going to let this issue go away! Barack Obama has gone too far. He’s crossed the line one too many times, and now is the time for our elected officials in Congress to finally do their Constitutional duty and hold Barack Obama and his administration accountable.

It’s time for our Republican officials in Congress to finally grow some spines and send Barack Obama a message that they should have sent him long ago. You are NOT above the law, Mr. Obama. And you are NOT the law. The time to send Obama that message is right now.

Use the button below to flood each and every member of the Republican Leadership of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives with your personalized Blast Faxes. Or alternatively, you can send your urgent and personalized Blast Faxes to each and every Republican member of the House and Senate… that’s over 280 Blast Faxes.

Demand they stand with Congressmen King, West, Miller and others and initiate immediate Congressional hearings into Obama’s dictatorial backdoor amnesty declaration. Make it clear that Obama has gone too far too many times. Make it clear that that Obamas excesses must be exposed and stopped.”

My first reaction was disbelief. It was hard to believe that Obama was not deporting illegal immigrants. However I couldn’t believe that the GOP would send out an “official” e-mail that was deceptive. Here is the truth:

1. In Obama’s first year in office, 2009, the United States deported a record 387,790 people, which constituted a 5 percent increase over 2008. Nearly two months before the end of the 2010 federal fiscal year, the deportation rate is down slightly from 2009, but the number of removals is still likely to be more than triple what it was in 2001.

The numbers come from a recently released study bySyracuse University in New York. This study also indicated that an increasing number of deportees had been convicted of crimes.

“We have never, ever deported so many people from the country as we are doing now,” saysDouglas Massey, an immigration expert at Princeton University in New Jersey.

The only other time deportations came close to existing levels was in the early 1930s, during quasi-official deportation campaigns against Mexicans.

The current deportation boom began in the mid-1990s and accelerated after the 9/11 attacks. Since coming into office, Obama has begun to recast this trend.

In 2008 and 2009, for instance, the majority of removals were people who had not been convicted of any crime, according to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data. Through Aug. 2, 51 percent of the 294,230 people deported or forced out this fiscal year were convicted criminals.

2. Obama has only slightly changed the prioritization of illegal immigrants that will be targeted for deportation. The Obama administration has announced that it will halt deportations on a case-by-case basis. If an illegal immigrants meet certain criteria, such as attending school, having family in the military or having primary responsible for other family members’ care, immigration officials may halt their deportation. In letters to Congress Homeland Security SecretaryJanet Napolitano said she does have discretion to focus on “priorities” and that her department and the Justice Department will review all ongoing cases to see who meets the new criteria. “This case-by-case approach will enhance public safety,” she said. “Immigration judges will be able to more swiftly adjudicate high-priority cases, such as those involving convicted felons.”

The move won immediate praise from Hispanic activists and Democrats who had strenuously argued with the administration that it did have authority to take these actions, and said as long as Congress is deadlocked on the issue, it was up to Mr. Obama to act

Whatever your view about deportation, surely you would agree that prioritizing the immigrants who are criminals would be appropriate. Surely you would agree that this e-mail from the GOP is false and misleading.

Last night was the first Republican debate in which Rick Perry graced the American people with his perception of the leadership skills that are necessary to “put results in place.” While many today are talking about his characterization of Social Security as a “Ponzi” scheme, there is an even more memorable comment for the residents of El Paso Texas.

Most Americans don’t know much about a city called “El Paso.” It is a city that lies in far west Texas right at the point where Texas touches New Mexico and Mexico. The 2010 census found it had a population of 649,121. It is the 6th largest city in Texas and the 19th largest city in the country.

Juarez Mexico is located just across the border from El Paso. Jarez has twice the population of El Paso.

In November 2010 El Paso was named the city with the lowest crime rate in the United States, for cities with populations over 500,000. This ranking is no accident or abberation. Since 1997 El Paso has been ranked second or third safest city in the United States by an independent study. The Police Chief and Mayor have worked hard to earn this recognition.

In August of 2010 Governor Rick Perry said in an interview with Fox News that bombs exploded in El Paso. He said:

“ You’ve got bombs exploding in El Paso,”

“The border with Mexico is a war zone.”

Mayor Cook of El Paso took offense at Rick Perry’s lies about El Paso. The car bomb to which he referred had gone off in Jaurez Mexico and NOT in El Paso. The mayor of El Paso said:

““It’s like an uphill battle almost, swimming against the tide, trying to convince people that the violence hasn’t spilled over,”

“It doesn’t help when the governor comes out and adds to that perception that the violence has spilled over,”

“And we welcome the governor to come down,”

“He likes El Paso. Last time he was here, he and I took a motorcycle ride. Maybe we should do that again to show him that it is a safe community and even our roads are safe.”

Representatives of El Paso brought this “misstatement” to the attention of the Governor’s office. The office of Governor Rick Perry, not the Governor himself, sent this statement to KFOX:

“In response to your question, he was referring to the incident in which a car bomb was detonated by cartel members in Juarez, just across from El Paso.

Perhaps Perry really didn’t know the facts in August of 2010, and perhaps he really thought that Juarez was just a neighborhood in El Paso. However after El Paso brought this matter to the attention of the Governor, any future statement about the danger in El Paso by the Governor could no longer be perceived as a “misstatement,” but would necessarily be dishonest, deceitful, and intentionally harmful to one of the largest cities in Rick Perry’s state.

Last night Perry said, while talking about border security:

“For the President of the United States to go to El Paso, Texas, and say that the border is safer than it’s ever been, either he has some of the poorest intel of a president in the history of this country, or he was an ABJECT LIAR to the American people. It is not safe on that border.

The people of El Paso feel as if their Governor is working against them. Judge Veronica Escobar of El Paso is reported this morning as saying:

“It’s incredibly frustrating to have the governor of our state use the national stage to denegrate our community,”

“We are not unsafe. Every time he says that, it hurts us.”

Judge Escobar indicated that she was beginning to believe that Rick Perry “wishes we were unsafe.”

Forget for a minute the damage Perry has done to El Paso Texas. He is clearly using the illegal immigration problem facing the United States, to attack President Obama.

However Rick Perry has made a career of blaming the federal government for the immigration problem, even when Bush was President. In 2005 Perry gave a speech when he said:

“From Brownsville to El Paso, our border offers convenient and covert points of entry without discrimination…

To be clear, enforcement of our border laws is the responsibility of the federal government…

We appreciate Congress approving 1,000 new border patrol agents.

We welcome federal investments in technology at crossings.

We are heartened by news that the Department of Homeland Security will build more detention space.

But none of it is enough. The federal government must do more – much more.

They should hire many more border patrol agents…

…expand the use of technology at…and between…ports of entry…

…authorize homeland security funding to pay for law enforcement positions and overtime to expand patrols…

…and designate the entire Texas border region a high-threat area so border communities have the same eligibility for homeland security funds as our large urban areas.

And federal officials must significantly expand detention facilities because it’s only a matter of time when the federal “catch and release” policy leads to another terrorist attack on our nation.

This is a serious problem. “

That was three years before Obama became our President. However in Sept. 2008, before we knew the outcome of the 2008 election, when Perry was trying to bolster the credibility of himself, and the Republican Party, he issued this proclamation from the Governor’s office:

“The Outcome

The efficacy of Governor Perry’s strategy is undeniable and should serve as a template for the nation. The border can be secured from all threats if the will exists to commit substantial resources, coordinate efforts, centralize intelligence and information, and leverage technology.

Since operations began in Texas, serious crime along the smuggling corridors of the state has been significantly reduced.

Thus Perry disparaged El Paso instead of recognizing its accomplishment as one of the safest cities in the country. The people of El Paso put him on notice that his statements were incorrect. He obviously doesn’t concern himself with the truth if it suits his political purposes to lie.  He tries to claim success in controlling the border of the state of Texas when promoting himself. When attacking President Obama, he blames our President  for the problem of illegal immigrants when the truth is that Perry cited George Bush as responsible for the problems as early as 2005. Now that Perry is running for President, he is once again attacking the Federal Government and declaring El Paso to be unsafe. Rick Perry, by his own words, has established himself as a compulsive “ABJECT LIAR” .

Please note that I have the utmost respect and admiration for members of the GLBT community. This post is intended to be funny at Rick Perry’s expense. He should be ashamed of his condemnation of homosexuality. He should be even more ashamed of his suggestion that he is holy and homosexuality is a violation of God’s will. It would be outrageous if it turns out that the rumors are true, and that while he was proclaiming the evils of homosexuality that he was engaging in the very activity he condemned.  It is not the fact that he is bi-sexual or homosexual that is offensive. It is the fact that he condemned others publicly for the conduct that he himself engaged in privately. It is his declaration that anti-sodomy laws were appropriate, even when the violation occurred in the privacy of a person’s bedroom, but when the violation occurred in his bedroom, it was God’s will.  It is the fact that he was an Eagle Scout, and proclaims the right of the Boy Scouts to exclude homosexuals from membership or leadership positions in his book about “honor”, when he himself has no “honor.”

It is my sincere hope that America knows the real Rick Perry before going to the polls in 2012. I hope the truth comes out, and if anyone supports Rick Perry that they know who he really is;  know the hypocrisy and lies which define the candidate Rick Perry.

Given the ad in yesterday’s Austin Chronicle, Rick Perry’s future is unclear.

The motivation for the ad asking for people to identify themselves if they had sex with Rick Perry is unclear. Speculation about the reason for the add has been the topic of conversation at local barber shops, campaign offices, and at the local “Condoms R U.S.” stores. Evangelical ministers across the country have prayed for one source of things about which they needed to pray, so here is the list I have accumulated. If anyone reading this blog has heard additional speculation about the reason for the ad, please leave a comment.

1. To begin the process of identifying volunteers for candidates who oppose the election of Rick Perry.

2. To determine if Rick Perry has had sex with any Democrats?

3. To determine whether Rick Perry embraces multiple races?

4. To determine whether Rick Perry might appeal to appeal to senior citizens?

5. To obtain an interview, from an authoritative source, about the proper classification for Perry’s next book, “Not Afraid of Sex: My Journey so Far. Fiction or Non-fiction?

6. To determine if any Alaskan residents had sex with Perry in case Jean Worldwide could use them to qualify for a tax credit in their next film: “Sex with Sarah in Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

7. Todd Palin was doing his due diligence before hiring Rick Perry to work for him.

8. A casting company was looking for extras for Brokeback Mountain II.

9. To determine if anyone with whom Perry had been intimate ever heard him brag about how or why he became the Agriculture Commissioner for Texas, a member of the “Pit Bulls,” why he majored in animal science, or whether his major had anything to do with being a “yell leader” in college?

10. To determine how much Rick might have had to pay his wife to entice her to stay married to him.

11. To determine whether he had any particular practice or routine before, after, or during sex, of invoking the name of God.

12. To determine the most desirable sexual orientation for any interviewees seeking a position in the Oval Office.

13. To determine if there might be any reason not to offer Rick Perry the lucrative job as Trojan spokesperson of the year.

14. To attempt to identify any family members who might need the protection of the Secret Service in the event of Perry’s election.

15. To determine if Rick Perry might have violated Texas’ sodomy laws before they were declared unconstitutional.

16. To determine if Karl Rove had a reason to declare that Perry was not “Presidential.”

17. To determine if the rumor that Perry is gay was just “guilt by innuendo”?

18. To determine if Marcus Bachmann or Rick Perry really like corny-dogs, or were simply advertising their acumen eating them.

19. To satisfy the RNC that Perry had no physical limitations that would prevent him from serving.

20. To create a list of references to submit to Pfizer with Perry’s application to star in their next Viagra commercial.

21. To determine the appropriate color for the bath robes in the closets of the guest room in the White House if Perry should be elected

22. To determine whether Perry’s partner on Dancing with the Stars should be male or female.

Anyone who has heard the name “Sarah Palin” knows she has a son, Trig, who has Down’s Syndrome. The night that she was introduced at the Republican Convention she paraded him for everyone to see like a prop or trophy.

Trig has served as a constant advertisement for Sarah on her position on abortion. From early on there were many questions raised about whether Trig was actually her natural born child. The number of absurd and inconsistent facts gave support for the controversy. Just a few of the unbelievable things highlighted have included :

 Nobody noticed she was pregnant even those closest to her in her office.

 She didn’t tell anyone, including her children, that she was pregnant until she was supposedly 7 months into the pregnancy.

 Pictures of her when pregnant before were inconsistent with the image of a “pregnant” Sarah Palin.

 During the same time that Sarah would have been pregnant, Bristol was “out with mono” and missed 5 months from school.

 The fact that there were no pictures from the hospital’s web site of Trig Palin.

 The story told by Palin of the early labor that began in Texas, the two flights to get home to Alaska, the fact that Alaskan Airlines employees never noticed she was even pregnant, much less the fact that nobody on the planes noticed that she was in labor, was unbelievable. Even if Sarah was not concerned about the health of her child, most women would be afraid to board a flight if they even suspected they were in labor.

 A person met and talked to Todd Palin in the airport between flights on the way home from Texas, and saw Sarah reading a book, but had no idea she was pregnant or in labor.

 No birth certificate has ever been produced for Trig.

 Palin didn’t list Trig on her insurance until a month after he was supposedly born.

 Shailey Tripp gave Sarah a massage when she would have been 6-7 months pregnant and didn’t notice she was pregnant, and Sarah never advised her that she was pregnant.

 Palin’s flight from Texas landed in Anchorage. The drive from Anchorage to Wasilla is approximately one hour. Anchorage has a neonatal specialty unit which might be necessary for a premature child with Down’s Syndrome. Mat Su Regional Hospital where Trig was supposedly delivered does not.

 Cathy Baldwin Johnson, Sarah’s physician, lived in Anchorage, so it would have been easier for her to have Sarah go to the hospital in Anchorage when she landed to determine her condition, and progress if she was in her labor. Instead Sarah drove for an hour to the Mat Su Hospital in the middle of the night where she met Dr. Johnson, and didn’t give birth until 6:30 am, the time for shift change.

 Then there is the problem with inconsistent pictures of Trig’s ear, to suggest that we have seen two babies instead of a single child.

 Medical authorities agree that the length of labor tends to decrease with each child, so that a mother in labor with a fifth child would likely have a short labor.

 All of the other four pregnancies of Sarah Palin had been the typical 9 months.

Given all this information it obvious why there are so many questions regarding Palin’s claim that she gave birth to Trig. Although many ideas have been suggested about the birth mother of Trig, it seemed very clear that Sarah was not Trig’s birth mother.

I have not been an active participant in this scandal. However in my attempts to learn as much as possible about Sarah Palin, I have found recorded interviews of Sarah Palin, shortly after the birth, that are directly inconsistent with the story of the labor and delivery that she has told later.  Here is the interview that took place within days of the alleged birth. Upon listening to the discussion in this interview done within three days of Trig’s birth, Sarah Palin made the following comments that are in direct opposition to statements she made at a later time.

1. During the interview she said Trig was born at the Mat Su hospital. In a speech in Waco Texas she said he was born in Anchorge.

2. During the interview Sarah Palin said that

“if I felt at all if I was engaged in labor …I would not have desired to fly “.

She went on to say:

“I am not a gluten for pain and punishment, I would never have wanted to travel if I had been fully engaged in labor. “

She described what was happening as “easy” and relaxing”,… “not contractions.”

However in many accounts of the events in Texas, the flight, and the subsequent trip, Palin has suggested that she WAS in labor. In Going Rogue she indicated she was in labor while giving her speech. At page 194 she states:

“Then I took the podium and opened by teasing the audience about how great it was to be in our “little sister state of Texas.” Big laughs. More contractions.” “Then I handed the mic back to Rick and walked off the stage. “Hey,” Rick drawled over the sound system with a chuckle, “we’re not finished with the program!” I turned around, smiled, waved, and kept moving. “I know you’re pregnant,” Rick said joking into the mic. “But don’t tell me you’re going off to have the baby right now!” The audience laughed. I smiled and waved good-bye, I thought, if you only knew.”

3. During the interview Sarah said that neither she or Todd could tell that Trig was a child with Down’s Syndrome. However she later said that even Willow knew when she first looked at Trig that he was a child with Down’s syndrome. Here is the actual quote:

“ As Todd and their three daughters gathered around the bedside (Track, an Army private, listened in by phone from his base in Fairbanks), Willow said of the new arrival, “He looks like he has Down syndrome.”

Palin, who says her own qualms were laid to rest “the minute [Trig] was born,” felt a lump in her throat. “If he does, you know you will still love him, Willow. It’ll be okay.”

Willow pressed: “But why didn’t you tell us?”

Palin admitted she didn’t know how to break the news. “I was a little shocked,” says Willow “but I don’t care – he’s my brother and I love him.”

Given this disparity the pictures of Trig’s ear are even more important.

The problem with lying is that you have to remember the lie if you are going to repeat it over and over. We now have proof that Sarah Palin has a poor memory for the lies she has told. Despite the number of factors that have given rise to the controversy about the true birth mother of Trig, it is easy to understand why people don’t know what to believe. Given the proof of the lies of Sarah Palin about Trig’s birth, it seems the only conclusion that we can be sure of is that Sarah Palin lied.

Laura Novak’s blog has more pictures that are worth checking out.  She has pictures of Sarah and Trig that provide a good illustration of the fraud.

Lying is complicated. Sometime you have trouble remembering what you said the last time you lied. Sometimes you have to make up another lie to cover up a previous lie. When Bristol and Sarah both lie when giving recorded interviews it gets really complicated. As in the lie Bristol told about why she bought the home in Arizona,  the substance of the lie is fairly inconsequential. The significance of the lie is the fact that it provides evidence that Bristol lies about any and everything, and that she is not trustworthy.

Here is the latest evidence of the lies of both Palins.

1. On June 28th Bristol was very clear that Sarah Palin had made her decision regarding whether to run for the Presidency in 2012. She said that her mom “definitely” knows whether she is running.

2. On July 10th Sarah Palin appeared on the Cover of Newsweek. In that article Sarah Palin was quoted as saying “I think Bristol has made up her mind, and Bristol wants me to run for president,” she said. “But we’re still thinking about it. I’m still thinking about it.”

3. On July 15th, that same quote was mentioned in another publication.

4. That same day on July 15th Bristol appeared on Jay Leno. That interview was memorable because of Don Rickles’ comment when Bristol couldn’t think of any reason her mother should not run. He said “Yeah, she could lose.”

However the most significant part of that interview was when Bristol said she didn’t know if her mom was running.

Either Sarah Palin is running or she is not. The fact of whether she has made up her mind is fairly insignificant, except perhaps regarding her salary at Fox. What seems apparent from these comments is that Palin has made her decision, but made it clear to Bristol that she was not to disclose the decision. They forgot to tell Bristol that “whether” she had made the decision was also supposed to be confidential. When Sarah was unhappy that there was an admission that she had made her decision, but had not yet announced, more lies was the only way to solve the problem. How often are Sarah and Bristol allowed to lie without any consequences?
